WHO WE ARE
I’ve always followed my heart and it’s gotten me this far. I’m highly intuitive and draw inspiration from the world around me. From a young age, I knew I wanted to promote fashion and make the dreams of young designers come true, a dream that became a reality in 2001. Since then, I’ve tried to get involved in a variety of projects, all of which have somehow become part of my ongoing creative journey.

MISSION STATEMENT
To positively influence full broad-base citizen participation in mental health prevention through espousal, recommendation, training and services to address social-emotional challenges that are currently facing our nation.
VISION STATEMENT
MIFW envisage a healthy society which is equitable and passionate toward high quality, culturally, competent mental health treatment, awareness and services regardless of race, age, sexual orientation, ethnicity or gender.

The African Lady Fashion Show
What an experience, backstage is packed with models, designers, managers, stylists, makeup artists, hairdressers, publicists, and other fashion elite who are there to ensure a fabulous show. Photographers trying to squeeze in a few dozen shots and be politely shoving each other around to document the event.
Summer 2024
Iconic Series
“Fashion is art.” Fashion shows are not events that designers use to showcase what you’ll be able to buy in stores the very next day. Instead, a fashion show is a chance for a designer to show off a particular aesthetic, a particular mood, a particular feel or point of view. As a result, African Lady Summer collection showcase fashion that tend to be more conceptual and focused on a higher level idea.

#MIFW FASHION SHOW
Mecklenburg International Fashion Week is organizing an event in observance of mental health month in May 2024. Our organization’s mission is “To positively influence full broad-base citizen participation in mental health prevention through espousal, recommendation, training and services to address social-emotional challenges currently facing our nation”. This event which will take place on 11th, May 2024 and is dedicated to prevention of substance use and promotion of mental health awareness.

Beauty is everywhere. I’ve learned to express this through fashion, and since 2001 it has become my life’s work. From a young age, I understood I had a calling, and I’m lucky to have found success in my vocation.
Mecklenburg International Fashion Week Show is inspired by the unusual and by the ordinary, by the colors provided and the colors created, by mother earth and the universe.
